9am: Edges, Puck Skills, and Dangles : 10 - 14 years (Jul 22 - Jul 24)  Location: Travis Roy Arena

Day Camp Schedule:


9:00am-11:00am: On Ice

11:10am-12:10pm: Off Ice Workout

12:10pm-1:00pm: Lunch 

1:10pm-2:00pm: Video Session

2:00pm-2:40pm: Off Ice Puck Skills

3:00pm-5:00pm: On Ice


On Ice Description:




We like to start the day off with edgework, skating, and body movement work. Over our years of teaching and developing elite athletes, we have found that getting the feet under the player is vital to being able to learn new skills that will be stacked on top of the footwork. 


Areas we will cover:


-Forward Edges

-Backward Edges

-Transition Skating (Tight Turns and Pivots)

-Forward Stride


-Weight Transfer 


Camp Focus:


Puck Skills:


What we will be teaching is in this camp is the importance of proper footwork and body weight transfer when it comes to puck skills. We have studied biomechanics and have realized when teaching puck skills, it is important first to start with the footwork and move up to the hands from there.


What we will be teaching:


-Proper footwork and weight transfer 

-Top hand control 

-Blade and puck contact 

-Over speed dribbling 

-Handling the puck around the entire body

-Proper attack angles on the defender

-Variety of moves to beat defenders  

5:10pm-6:30pm: High School Skills: High School (Jul 22 - Aug 12)  Location: Travis Roy Arena

Monday and Wednesday nights
